Traditional Glazing

Traditional Glazing

The art of traditional glazing requires true craftsmanship. Having our own skilled workforce of glaziers is recognised by the local authorities who entrust us with their glazing repairs in schools, libraries, swimming pools and many other council buildings.

Glass Roofs / Skylights / Lantern Lights

SkylightOpen up your home to extra light with the addition of a glass roof, skylights or lantern lights. Rooflights such as lantern lights, a combination of glass and aluminium, work well with older properties or can transform a flat-roof extension into a work of art. A wide range of glass in an aluminium frame that can be powder coated to any standard RAL or BS colour. Commercially, lantern lights are widely used in shopping centres, railway stations and offices. The size possibilities are infinite.

Shelves & tabletops

We offer stunning, bespoke glass products for the home and office such as shelves and tabletops. As well as looking good, these are made with safety glass and can be cut to any size or shape.

Glass balustrades and balconies

Glass balustrades and balconies can be used inside or out and offer a way to bring a stylish architectural feature to your home. You can have them on decking, patios, terraces, and they can also be used as swimming pool safety barriers or around hot tubs. You can choose between clear glass or have frosted effects, all glass adheres to safety regulations.  We can help you select the most appropriate design for your home or office.

Fire-Rated Glass

This can be manufactured to any specification to provide a degree of fire protection by stemming the spread of flames and fumes from one room to another, whilst adhering to rigorous safety requirements. Fire-rated glass, which comprises multi-layers of laminated glass, is also available as obscured.

Insulated Sealed Units

We offer a swift turnaround in-house (between 1 to 7 days) for our insulated sealed units that comply with British Kite Mark Standard BSEN1279. The units can be made with any configuration of glass and in many designs including lead, bevel or film. All units can benefit from being filled with argon gas, which prolongs their life and reduces condensation by making the inner pane of glass warmer.

Secondary Glazing

It is said that an Englishman’s home is his castle. Most of us aren’t lucky enough to live in such grandeur, but for those living in heritage buildings for example, secondary glazing maintains the character of the building whilst providing many of the advantages of double glazing such as providing heat and sound insulation.

Frameless Glass Doors

If you really want to make a bold design statement, why not install frameless glass doors in your home or office. Not only do they allow light to flow freely, but frameless glass doors create division between rooms without compromising on the feeling of space. You can choose from an internal or external system in sliding, hinged or bi-fold and with or without locks.

Sliding Glass Wardrobes

At E W Grace Glass, we offer a comprehensive range of coloured glass as well as silvered and frosted options in our sliding glass wardrobes. They are custom-made to make the most of whatever space you have available and turn even the most awkward nook and cranny into a highly practical and attractive component in your room. A variety of inserts including hanging rails, drawers, shelves and shoe-racks means there is more to your wardrobe than meets the eye.

Future Units

We are one of a handful of companies in the UK and Europe who are able to provide and install authentic, patented future units. Future Units combine the aesthetic benefits of traditional leaded lights with the practical properties of double-glazing such as durability, insulation and security. This is an excellent solution for those who do not want to lose the character of their home. There are companies who offer ‘future units’ but use colour film, for example, which is not durable. Future units are ideal for a feature window or door and if you have existing leaded lights, it is possible to use what you have to transform it into something both breathtaking and practical.
